Dizzy Goodness

I'm not quite sure how I found my way here, but I did.

And since the current topic is one of my favorites I guess I'll just say a quick hello and dive right in with my picks.

Transmetropolitan: In my opinion this is easily the best book on the market today. I've loved it from the beginning and it just keeps getting better. Only 2 issues left. I'll be sad to see it go.

The Filth: The Invisibles got me back into comics after a year or two off. It also made me realize that quality writing is more important to me than pretty pictures. I'm just as confused by The Filth right now as I was by The Invisibles at the same point. I'm also just as excited to see where Grant takes us.

Fables: I can't say enough good about this book. I originally picked it up thinking it could be a fairly Gaiman-esque project. It didn't really live up to that but it's damn good on its own merits. The art is very decent, the story is great, and the concept is just fantastic. If you haven't picked this one up yet you should definitely check it out.

I think that's pretty much it for Vertigo books I'm reading right now. Quesada has done a great job dragging me kicking and screaming back to Marvel (although Azzarello's Cage may as well be a Vertigo book).

So yeah. Those are my Vertigo picks.
